Anita Frank

I became a veterinary nurse in 2005 because veterinary care had always interested me and my animals and their welfare was a passion of mine even as a girl.

I have a few pets at home - “Jasmine” my gorgeous little Staffy, “Frankie” and “Dudley” the Ginger Ninja.  They are always getting up to funny antics - Jasmine has always liked peeling mandarins that have fallen off the tree and eats them - after she has peeled them and left the peels all over the yard!  Frankie is the Worlds Worst swimmer, but he loves it anyway and cant help throwing himself in!  Dudley, well he just thinks he’s a dog and his favourite game is fetch!

I absolutely love having pets in my life because there is nothing better than how they greet you at the end of the day and show so much love.  I think people could learn a lot from them about loving one another and how to make people smile!

Working at Better Pet Vets is both really enjoyable and really challenging - there’s always new things to learn but the team supports one another like a family to make sure everyone gets looked after - clients, patients and one another too!  I really enjoy emergency and critical care patients.

Outside of work I love wake boarding and also to play in the snow when I get the chance - Canada, New Zealand and Japan have all made the list so far.  I’m really looking forward to marrying my fiancé and best friend Chris, too!
